My first visit to this fantastic place. I will be returning. There was plenty of parking, a roaring log burner. Lovely open feel and very friendly staff. Food was good too. I met up with a school friend and we spent a very happy four hours catching up with eachother. I couldn't believe how the time had flown. We were not rushed along but were made to feel very welcome. It was a shame to drag ourselves away. We didn't have time to explore the rest of the site but can heartily recommend the cafe.

Unfortunately after yesterday a disastrous lunch served I asked for beef to be pink and it was served over cooked and chewy. I mentioned this to waitress who previously agreed it was how she liked it but served it overcooked beef….and surly walked away I didn’t make a scene we just paid & left uneaten beef.. We did ask and consider reserving a table for 11for my beloved birthday (80yrs) but I think this is greatly unlikely now.. Perhaps a voucher you’d consider for and our hopeful return? Went on Saturday 1st July for the kids fest, was great fun! lots for the children to do and the bubble lady kept alot of children (and adults🤣) entertained all day! Will definitely be going again next year😊
- Michelle Webber Michelle Webber

Santa was great! Very warm and friendly. The reindeer were a lovely touch. My only criticism, is the ticket price was quite high for a visit to see two reindeer and Santa as well as a small gift. It would be great to have some more festive activities for the kids. Perhaps a treasure hunt around the farm (find the elves or something), a colouring /letter to Santa station while waiting to see Santa. Kids were getting impatient. Otherwise, lovely shops and cafe. Nice afternoon out.

We love Farrington’s Cafe. Visited many times in past 6 years. Great welcome and service. Menu great and wholesome food with cheery staff, especially Sandra last Saturday. Thank you so much.

Amazing for children! We took our little boy (nearly 2) and were really impressed. Loved the outdoor play area, the animals and the soft play barn. Very reasonably priced for this. Would definitely return when in the area.

A few weeks ago I gave a low star review because of an error in a product being labelled. The owners of this business responded graciously and pointed out that I had not actually tried to resolve things with them first. That is an entirely fair point. I have given a much improved rating to reflect that I was less generous to them than I should have been and that I have often used this shop and been more than happy with my purchases. Would be nice to see a return of mutton, though--- which would have forgiven any error!

Overall a nice experience but a few niggles. 1•drinks-asked for latte but got a cappuccino. Man did offer to change but said the only difference was that cappuccino had chocolate. Obviously he doesn’t know his coffee. I kept the latte and it was nice. 2•the food-one meal was excellent (the belly pork flat bread yummy) & the chips were fat and crispy if a little expensive but the rarebit was dreadful. Soggy bread and undercooked cheese. I should’ve complained at the time but as no one came around in the time we were there and the attitude of the man who delivered the coffees made me think Nothing would come of it if I did. Overall I would come again and have the flat bread but definitely not the cheese rarebit

Fantastic food and drink that can be enjoyed inside or outdoors in a lovely atmosphere. Nice little play area for children next to outdoor seating for the cafe. Lovely farm and gift shop. Brilliant to see happy piglets and mums, plus some goats too. The falconry centre is excellent as well with good enclosures for the birds and an enjoyable display show. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find, tucked away off the main road. Interesting array of local produce and fantastic selection of meat. Bought the bbq marinated ribs and the family devoured them. There’s some lovely farm animals to greet as well
- Alice Hall Alice Hall

We went to the restaurant for a meal. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. The lamb was excellent, the potato rosti crisp, and the seasonal greens delicious and buttery. Friendly and helpful staff. It is essential to book ahead if you want to reserve an indoor table. I would happily eat there again. Good access arrangements and a large car park. The shop itself is quite small but stocked a reasonable range of fresh meats and other produce. There were also seasonal items on sale.

I just about got a table but the soup was lovely. Great little farm with a few things to see. Really nice shop too.

Sunday Lunch Wow, stuffed, amazing, great value for money. All the meats were cooked to perfection and plentiful. Vegetables also in good portions. Separate pot of gravy is a big bonus. I had the beef and pork combo and it nearly beat me. Great staff, always a warm welcome.

Five stars for before Christmas visit for lunch. Food was good, Service top quality. But four stars for return post Christmas where prices appear hiked. Easy to park, nice if expensive, farm shop. Cute iglets.

A very good Sunday lunch - ample servings and very nicely presented. The vegetables, gravy and Yorkshire pudding were great. We'll definitely come back to try the other menu items - be sure to book in advance.

On the way to Bath, we stopped at the farm shop. I have never been here before, but was surprised at how many different bespoke products they had for sell - although a little on the expensive side. It was well stock, with helpful assistants. There is a butchers section, fresh fruit and veg, wines and spirits, gifts and occasions cards, toilets and a restaurant, with an added outdoor section, which was lovely and warm on a cold Winters day. The staff were friendly, but again, the restaurant was a little pricey. It is worth a visit, even just for a comfort break.
- Sally Cowley Sally Cowley

Our choir enjoyed a delicious lunch here today. We were a party of 20 and decided to eat here as the menu has a wide variety of dishes with something to suit every appetite and pocket. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I found it very easy to organise the pre-orders and dietary requirements of our party. Communication was prompt and excellent throughout the organisation process. A huge thank you for making our visit so enjoyable - we will definitely return!

Lovely place to stop for lunch, and prices may be a little high if out with the family. Food was presented well. Unfortunately, my dining companies food was on the undercooked side. Shame as the service started extremely well.
- Ms Mabel Ms Mabel

Lovely place we stopped at on our way home from Centre Parc's. Beautiful food and one of the best burgers I've had. So good that I bought some from the butchers counter to take home.
- Marc Davies Marc Davies

Absolutely disappointing way to run a business. We waited in the queue for a long time, when we sat we were told there were just a few burgers left so we said we wanted to order quickly, but nobody came and they started serving tables after us, so of course we missed the burger and could not have lunch. Waste of 45 mins and I’m also pregnant, I would have rather been told from the start that we were not in time to have lunch here.
- Laura Basso Laura Basso

Large, well stocked farm shop full of fresh local produce & all sorts of goodies. We visit when we’re in the area for meat and veggies. Loved the cafe for tasty cakes and coffee while the kids played on the play structure in the field which can be see easily from the cafe.
- Amy Shawcross Amy Shawcross

Lovely farm shop on our way home from Dorset. Has a 50kW EV charging station, a restaurant and a shop. There’s also some grass to exercise the dog. Staff were all friendly and seemed to like dogs. The only criticism I would feedback is that prices seem high for the level of waiting service available. It was very quiet when we arrived, and we still had to go find someone to get service. I don’t think the prices are particularly unreasonable, but for the price, it would have been nice for a staff member to be visible and available. That being said, £15 for fish and chips or £20 for a Sunday Roast could be seen as a bit steep.
- Kiran Payne Kiran Payne

Lovely farm shop with a cafe and playing area for the kids. Lots of choice of good local produce, a bit more money but great quality. Friendly staff too. Lots of free parking.

Nice place to visit. Lovely cafe, we had a cream tea, absolutely gorgeous scones. 2 or 3 local shops, the farm shop with local and not so local produce, plus a glass shop, selling amazing glass-blown ornaments and jewellery, also sell teaching days. An small antiques shop aswell.

After just visiting with my 2 young grandchildren for cake and drinks as a treat I was disappointed with the service in the tearoom, I asked for a hot chocolate with the marshmallows on the side not realising that apparently it’s called a naughty hot chocolate as I asked for cream and the flake which unfortunately I didn’t see the price difference as it was partially covered, the lady certainly looked put out by me asking for these and that I was very sorry I didn’t see the price. I was also told very bluntly before I ordered drinks that the kitchen is closed for hot food, which I didn’t want anyway!! I work in customer service and if I treated the customer as I was treated I would be pulled up straight away, just because you work in villages and everything is ran differently than towns just have some manners and try and be more helpful!!

What a refreshing place to visit. On premise fresh make cooked food. Staff where polite friendly, helpful. You could not ask for a better place to stop for on a long road trip. There was a glass blowing workshop, no crafts men working the day we visited. Hope to get back one day soon.

Lovely Farmshop and restaurant with local produce. Also worth visiting is the glassblowing, Chris was an incredible teacher and we had the most fabulous time! Would recommend to all to give glassblowing a go! Chris really took on board what we wanted to try making (confetti glasses), gave advice and ensured we came home with the perfect set, we’re looking forward to being back!

Based on the impressive road signs outside the place, I've sent more than one customer to this venue for a light lunch or a coffee. Thinking it time to visit myself to see where I'm sending them, I arrive late one cold Sunday afternoon. The approach is through a tree lined driveway that would compliment a stately home and it's an extensive establishment of which at time of writing I have seen but a small part. Understandably, on a dismal and darkening day, the place was sparsely attended, but noticing the number of tables and chairs available, this is not always the case and clearly, much larger patronage is catered for. From the cafè I ordered coffee, a small savoury and a piece of Christmas cake. All were fairly priced, worthy and served quickly by an affable staff member. Clearly, I must spend more time here - watch this space, dear reader, for further updates.
- Chris Sanders Chris Sanders

We came for the glass blowing experience, which is on site. Food was lovely and fresh with lots of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming. We had coffee and cakes from the cafe which is adjoined to the shop and again the staff were a delight. The whole place was clean and tidy with all the amenities you would expect, these werevalso clean and tidy with hot rinning water and soap.

Really lovely part of the country. As you approach the shop you see lots of sheep and baby lambs happily grazing. Farm shop butcher has some really good quality meat at reasonable price. Lots of interesting little bits and bobs of food items you don’t normally find in supermarket.

Nice place with a great atmosphere. Certainly a hidden gem. You have a foodhall with great locally sourced product and then a great cafe/restaurant with a good selection of nreakfast items (vegan and vegetarian included). The place is dog friendly and there is a secure fieald right outside the parking lot with amenities like washing your wellies. Staff was helpful and fast. Our order came out in a matter of 10 minutes. And there is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors under a marquee, so I am sure you can always find a table. All in allk great little hidden gem.

What a little gem of a place pulled in on a Hot summer's day (31°), the restaurant was very attentive, big smiles, no que, water jug provided immediately and left to choose what we wanted to order...😁 The food was amazing, we ordered pizza and the wife had a salad and I must say, it was extremely good. Fresh produce, well presented and tasted divine. Service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. Also has a great farm shop and activities unit, offering pottery painting etc... I was very impressed with the whole setup and will return again, even if it's just for a pizza, yummy 😋

We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday at Flourish this week, there were 15 of us. The food and the service were fantastic, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. I would highly recommend a visit if you haven’t been and make sure you sign up for their free Flourish card as this gives you a good discount off the Flourish breakfast amongst other things, in fact it reduced my bill by £60! They also have a lovely farm shop food hall (try the scotch eggs) and home and gift shop. It really is a lovely place to spend a few hours.

A cracking local farm shop on the A38 airport road. This place has been here for years and never ceases to satisfy the local produce shoppers like me. The range in here is quite extensive and the food is always of an excellent standard. A butcher to sort you out the right size chop, cut to your liking, the same for the pies, pastry and quices. Fresh fruit and dairy, and a lovely selection of local ciders. There is also a no packaging section where you can weigh your own produce. Nice touch. The parking is plentiful and the access is easy. Plenty of room for wheelchair users too.

Popped in to get a steak for tea this afternoon just as the butcher was cleaning up,the guy was very friendly and helpful and although I was in the market for a bit of rump I was shown a lovely ribeye, and although it was dearer than I was expecting to pay ,he assured me it would be well worth it for the taste.well I can honestly say he was a man of his word, it tasted like a well cooked joint of beef and tender to boot. I have used this farm shop on and off depending on where I am working for the last few years, and have always found the shop staff extremely friendly and helpful.many thanks, still licking me lips.

We stopped here on the way past the airport wanting a bite to eat on a Sunday The winnies bakery products they stocked are really nice, as well as the rolls which they fill to order. Was dissapointed that most of the hot pasties advertised were not available. This shop was expensive but to be expected with being a farm shop nice picnic benches outside for an al fresco lunch.

Nice breakfast, but wasn't sure if it was table service or not? our orders were taken from the table and food delivered but nothing more. We had to get up to get our own sauces and then we weren't brought a bill, so paid on the way out. Not sure if this is just how it works here, but they had the cheek to add a 10% service charge.

We visited the Kitchen this afternoon for lunch. What a fantastic meal. Service friendly, accommodating and the right speed. Food was delicious, we had Sunday roasts all round with a side of cauliflower cheese. Such a lovely afternoon. We visited after a personal recommendation and will certainly be coming back!

Absolutely appalling !!!!! I booked the table in November for 15 people as a double celebration for boxing day and a birthday. We arrived at 2pm to be told there was an electrical fault which then turned to a gas fault, the menu was already restricted. The only options on the menu was pizza, sandwiches or chicken burger. Even some beverage options were out of stock. The children ordered sausage, mash, peas and gravy, after afew minutes the waitress returned to say they couldnt do mash and the only option was chips. Then the food arrived with no peas or gravy and we was told normally they could have it but due to the problems they couldnt have peas and gravy. The chips were cold and cooked enough just to eat. When i spoke to front of house her customer service attitude was as if she couldnt careless. I said someone should have called first thing to tell me, they said they called me 3 times however my phone had one missed call txt message alert, no other call or answer message. We were given a discount on the bill however we would rather have had a lovely lunch out, no stress and friendly staff, dont come here if you dont want to be disappointed. We have been here several times and wont come again.

Dog friendly, big portioned roast, great prices and caters a large group booking of 11 - would highly recommend! We have friends that live nearby so we went on a wet, muddy walk beforehand to devour a recommended Sunday roast. We got a lovely corner spot with plenty of room for our muddy dogs. The food was brilliantly priced for 2023! The Sunday roast pork and Roast beef were spot on, and very filling. The doggy roast for £5 is a great touch (the dogs loved theirs) Will be coming back to try the other roasts on the menu!

The good things: Nice interior. Friendly Staff. Background music not too loud. Service a little over enthusiastic but not a problem. The not so good things: £11 for one sandwich is a bit much. The bread in said £11 sandwich tasted stale. Sandwich came with chips that I never asked for and were covered in salt, which meant I couldn't eat them anyway. (Maybe let the diner decide if they want salt on the chips they never asked for). Also came with some sort of purple mayonnaise-type substance in a pot. No idea what the ingredients were so again, due to allergies I couldn't eat the thing I never asked for. Also had a Cappuccino. Taste was very good but unfortunately while thr bottom (where the milk was) was hot, the froth at the top was cold. Very strange sensation. An expensive lunch for what it was.

This is the 2nd time we have been to Holcombe the first was just for a coffee so this time we were looking forward to trying the food. The menu has some great options and we went for the daily specials, my husband had the bbq ribs and I went for the Venison Chorizo burger. Both options did not disappoint, the portions were enormous and both tasted amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and was juicy and delicious and my husband’s bbq ribs just fell off the bone. He was expecting 1 rack but had 2 along with a side salad, chips, onion rings and slaw. I also had the slaw, onion rings and chips with the burger. Talking of chips these were some of the best ones I’ve had in a restaurant for a long time. Most places serve frozen ones which are dry and unpalatable but I’m pretty sure these were homemade proper chips as they were fab. You will definitely not leave hungry if you go here to eat, we were absolutely stuffed. The service is great and all of the staff we dealt with were cheerful, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning and look forward to visiting in the summer when they have the doors open onto the outside decking which is right next to the river.
