Been s few times noe and always enjoyed looking around. The stsff are very helpful. I don't know much about gardening and one chap really helped us choose the correct bushes for our garden type. Also they have an excellent Christmas display. Kids will love it.

Absolutely made up with my new Everlands frosted Christmas tree. Popped it up to check it over and hadn’t even fluffed the branches, simply beautiful. The quality of it is well worth the price, if you want cheap expect cheap quality. I expect this one will last me many years, love the fact the frosted tips aren’t flocked with clumps of fake snow like some styles. Also a mention to their fantastic customer service, every query I had was dealt with in a timely manner and nothing was too much trouble. I would absolutely buy from this company again knowing the quality of both product and customer service is superior. Thankyou so much Southwood Garden Centre.

Bought Christmas lights online 3000 bulb cluster sets x 2. Cheaper than Amazon. Delivery was very quick and informative as to delivery times and which courier. One set went straight onto by 9ft tree for the autumn decorations, the other set for the Christmas tree which will be early Dec. Nice and bright.

Nice cafe. Farm shop had lots of fresh pies and cakes. We bought a Cumberland ring of sausages, delicious. Staff were nice. Cafe toilet spotless.

Beautiful surroundings and a nice little shop with standard but good quality local produce as well as cakes and pies. The café served hearty, traditional food at fair prices. The breakfast was nice and exactly the portion size you’d expect off of an English full breakfast. Sausages and bacon weren’t too salty at all and you can tell everything was fresh and of good quality. Loved the fact that they separated the beans in a pot, which was a nice touch cos let’s face it, sometimes - you just want the beans separate from the rest of the food on the plate.

Fantastic cooked breakfast in a charming spacious farm shop cafe.
- Neil Robinson Neil Robinson

Can not fault the food here, it is amazing. Only reason for 4 star rather than 5 is the poor service in the cafe, me and my partner never received our hot drinks (despite asking twice), incorrect chips given which was rectified, however the replacement chips were cold. We both ordered quiche, waiter/waitress (don't want to be getting anyone in to trouble) who served us could not say which one had bacon and which didn't. Would have been more of a problem should one of us been a veggie! I will stick to takeaway food from the farm shop going forward as that is absolutely 5* quality and service 😁

Love this place. Great coffee and cakes are just awesome. Food in general is excellent but mainly the staff are so friendly and welcoming. One of the go to places for my wife and I.
- Steve Ellis Steve Ellis

This farm shop is the undiscovered gem on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The restaurant is such a lovely place to eat, with great home cooked food. Staff help make somewhere special, and I'd be hard-pressed to find anything to say but praise. Thanks to everyone who makes this place the epitome of local hospitality and the farm shop is a great place too for fine foods. Well done everyone and thank you so much for all that you did to support people during the pandemic. A credit to Hutton Cranswick, and the county. Please don't ever sacrifice your charm for anything else: it's your prized asset and easily lost. Every blessing to you all.

Great food, coffee and service at a reasonable price served in the cafe. Great items for sale in the farm shop too. Good parking. Only reason for losing a star is that it was a bit cold in the cafe for lunch
- Kerry Walpole Kerry Walpole

This is an excellent farm shop with a great cafe. The produce available is second to none! My wife could have done a lot of damage in here, luckily I managed to prise the bank card from her grasp before we were completely broke! Based on my visit I would totally recommend a visit here, a great place for great food and drink and gifts alike.

We visit Sledmere house regularly on average twice a month throughout the year. We are friends of Sledmere and love to walk the grounds, the walled garden and eat in the cafe. It pains me to say this but there has been a definite change in the cafe recently. It feels like it is being managed differently, and runs out of desserts quickly. People were coming in at 2pm, for tea and cake to find all the cakes had gone and leaving disappointed. Many of the staff have changed, and the menu certainly has. We were pleased to see a roast had been added. But yesterday's meal was very disappointing and far below the usual standards. It arrived luke warm, bordering cold. The roast beef resembled a packet of two thin slices you would expect to buy for sandwiches. I am not a big eater, but the portions were meager, the roast potatoes over cooked, just 3 of them and a small potion of vegetables. The Yorkshire pudd was the only bit I enjoyed. The desserts had sold out so we left and contented ourselves with an ice cream. Two of us had a roast, one pot of tea for one, and a coke, £34.00. We could have paid that at the Triton and the quality and quantity much greater. We will still visit Sledmere regularly as we are "Friends" and love the peace and tranquility, but may start to use the pub to eat in future.

We met our daughter at the Cafe today and she had the dog with her. It was a cold day and we knew dogs weren’t allowed in the Cafe. The staff were brilliant, we were shown to an outside table and immediately they wiped the chairs and table, they then provided us with 3 very clean rugs two for each chair and then an extra one for our knees. They couldn’t have done enough, we were very impressed. The Cafe is immaculate, the staff are all very smart in uniform and always pleasant, the food and drinks are first class. This is not the first time my husband and I have been, but the first time with a dog. We’ll done Sledmere Cafe 😃 Susan & Paul Lawson

Pleasant atmosphere in restaurant, bacon and sausage roll very good quality, friendly staff.costs a bit more than some places.Christmas barn is excellent, someone worked very hard putting that together.
- david williams david williams

Nice place but like many cafes they leave the breakfast menu on the table instead of taking it off at lunch time. You queue only to be told we don't do scrambled or poached eggs after breakfast. When all you want is a light meal and unless you read the smallest print you assume they are available. Dissappointing. Otherwise acceptable.

Had a lovely morning having coffee and cake in the cafe! It’s spacious and well decorated! They have a great menu with a specials board. We will have to return to have lunch here as we’d already made plans to go elsewhere! The Pantry and Farm shop was great and brought some treats to take home!!

Visited Drewton’s Farm Shop for breakfast yesterday at 10:30 with a pre-booked table for four. The idyllic setting and exceptional menu were overshadowed by service challenges. Cramped tables in the farm shop side prompted a move, but staff didn’t assist, and we carried our drinks across busy tables. Waiting over 30 minutes for coffee and further delays in food, coupled with chaotic and unavailable staff, made the experience less enjoyable. Complaints were needed for secondary drinks, and obtaining the bill was a challenge. Service issues significantly marred an otherwise promising visit.

Disappointed with the quality of the food, Ordered club sandwich you would expect it to be on decent bread but it just appeared to be on basic cheap tasting white bread. Inside the sandwich was nothing special, Very over priced for the quality of it. Think I would have preferred a baguette from sewells garage to be honest.

Classless place with awful produce. The veg was rotting in the chillers. The deli counter makes Gregg's look like Fortnum and Mason. The staff seem completely oblivious to their surroundings. The car park appears to be designed by blind children
- Mark & Suzie Rogers Mark & Suzie Rogers

We had previously visited Drewtons for the first time a few weeks prior as were kindly given afternoon tea gift voucher from a friend ( which was fabulous) and we made a note to return for either a brunch or lunch. So all day brunch it was, Wow! The menu is amazing selection of both meat and non-meat options. I had the vegan breakfast whilst my partner had the full English. Well both were outstanding! The usual elements of a breakfasts but with Artisan sausages, homemade hash browns ( not the processed triangles found in most breakfasts) lovely thick fresh sourdough..everything was gorgeous and cooked brilliantly. I sadly forgot to take pictures of brunch...but havd added photos of the amazing afternoon tea we had previously..and they even split into 2 for different dietary requirements. Also highly recommended! Top with friendly staff, efficient service and great atmosphere. It elevates a brunch trip - definitely be back

No veg at the farm… Visited today (1st October) with a reservation for 4 people for Sunday Roast. We walked in to a sea of roast beef specials and perplexed waiting staff. We got seated and waited 10 minutes for a menu to be brought over, before finding a member of staff to help us navigate the menu to decide on 4 roast beef (who wouldn’t it’s not a Sunday without a roast), only to be told the farm shop which had beef in the shop had run out… not a problem we’ll have the pie of the day with veg… only to be told the farm shop had run out of veg… A farm shop restaurant with no beef and no veg isn’t much of a farm shop. Overall, a disappointed customer who wanted to support local, and instead had to resort to a chain restaurant for a roast.
- Alex Dalton Alex Dalton

We had the breakfast which was ok but our poached eggs were hard. I asked for 2 more and one of them were hard and one was soft but cold in the yolk...... Very disappointed. Never been served a hard or cold egg before. I've had pre cooked eggs before but its not working
- Derek Mallon Derek Mallon

Visited for afternoon tea birthday treat which was completely let down by poor service. Ignored on arrival even though pre-booked. When I finally confronted one of the girls, she was clueless and too be honest left us feeling rather uncomfortable, as we stood waiting for her to decide how to do her job & seat us. Unfortunately none of the other girls were any better. Staff training is clearly needed. Shame as such a lovely setting and expected more.

My wife and I along with our dog Reg stayed here 12th & 13 January 2024 on the campsite in our motorhome. We were greeted by Colin with a warm friendly welcome on arrival. The place is used by locals and friends from our village and I have to say we were not disappointed. Having the cafe and shop on site is a plus. The site isnt too big so very comfortable with EHU and all the services you need. The site is a ten minute walk into pocklington town centre which is amazing with plenty of shops pubs and eateries if you need them. We are already looking forward too and planning our next trip back there. Highly recomend.

Ordered some compost, which I needed to come fairly promptly, everything seemed to run smoothly up until a couple hours of my order being confirmed to then have a phone call being told the item is out of stock and the money should be back in my account within a few days. Perhaps someone should be taking stock of inventory and updating the site, i also don't appreciate having money in limbo for no reason. Very unprofessional.

Great home cooked food, a menu with plenty of choice that looks like a precovid one, Friendly staff that offer well cooked and presented, tasty food in very pleasant surroundings, highly recommend the Yorkshire ploughman's lunch but what ever you have you won't be disappointed, Deli/shop is only small but offers a selection of fruit, vegetables and meat, plus some very tasty looking goodies 😋
